Losing a beloved pet can be incredibly difficult, not just for us humans, but also for our other furry friends.

Dogs, in particular, are known for their strong bonds with their companions, and when one of them passes away, it can leave a void in their lives.

While some dogs may appear to be unaffected by the departure of their friend, others may exhibit signs of grief such as searching for their companion, loss of appetite, or lethargy.

To help your Bouv's friends through this difficult time, try diverting her attention with extra games and walks. Engaging in activities that she enjoys can help take her mind off the loss and provide some comfort. Additionally, adding canned food or other tempting treats to her meals can stimulate her appetite, ensuring she continues to eat properly.

Don't forget to mourning the loss together. Dogs value companionship above all else, and being there for them during this time can make a significant difference - for both of you. Spending more time with your dog, finding ways to engage and bond with them, can help alleviate their grief. Snuggling together can provide comfort and solace, strengthening your bond and helping both of you to heal.

Losing a furry friend is never easy, but by understanding and acknowledging grief crosses the barrier between species, we can provide the support and love they need to navigate through this difficult time.
