We breed to our reservations. Therefore we seldom ever have pups available to go home today. Essentially, we breed-to-suit and custom plan a Bouvier pup just for you. If we cannot produce what you want, we will help direct you to a reputable Bouvier breeder who might be able to meet your needs.

Not every breeding is a companion breeding. (See BREEDING LINES for our three distinct lines.)
Whelping Forecast
Updated 28 May 2025:
In the past, we have posted a tentative breeding calendar for rough planning and estimating purposes only. It was not fixed or guaranteed until a dam is positively pregnant and safely delivers a litter.
Due to the natural cycle of breeding canines, ovulation, live births, posting projections on the basis of expectations and favorable odds has proven a bit risky.
We cannot control exact outcomes/timing of planned matings: artificial insemination (AI) creates more variables and opportunity for failure, birth rates rise/fall significantly due to AI, the breeding cycle of the bitch, and a male's readiness/willingness to mate, etc. have had both a positive and negative impact on forecasts.
Therefore, we encourage you to call us 814-800-0084. Be ready to discuss the temperament and skills you're seeking in a Bouvier, and we will individually review with you estimations and plans we have for our next litter(s) that meet your needs.

PLEASE NOTE:

-
Yes, we breed companion Bouviers every year and some show lines make exceptional companions.
-
Working lines are able to live in homes - but we will pour-on a heavy dose of breed education to manage your expectations and to offer you essential support if this appeals to you. Working lines require more of YOU, the master, to be regular and consistent with obedience training and to commit to daily exercise to satisfy the Bouvier's need to "work" (think, do, expend energy).
-
We offer turnkey training and training consultations via our partnerships. Custom trained Bouviers are offered under a proposal for contract offering. All training fees are assessed by and paid to our training partners. House Of Bouvs will breed and whelp the right pup for you and assist with transportation connects to/from the trainer and you. This is a 3-way relationship until your pup is delivered: House of Bouvs, you, and the trainer.
-
Not all pups are whelped in-house. Our working lines are often raised with our law enforcement partners or experienced protection trainers. (See BREEDING LINES for our Breeding Model.) To keep our males living in home/family situations (vs. a kennel) and not prone to squabbles with each other, we have them distributed among friends or in a cryolab (semen freezer facility).
-
When pups are not whelped in-house, you will still receive the same top quality puppy care: videos of vet visits, weekly photos/videos, and insights into temperament - often we provide videos of your pup being temperament tested (we use Volhard's Temperament test) to help better prepare you for the arrival of your new family member. We have strict whelping standards and pre-socialization measures, as a team, we all follow the same protocols. Call and ask us if you'd like to know more about our relationships and teammates.
-
We rarely have "gently used" or "returned" Bouviers - we work hard to right-fit homes to temperament lines. Further, we have never placed any of our retired breeding stock in homes. We believe our Bouvs consider their home pack to be the only family they have ever known. While they would probably adapt to another home, we let them live their life following the routines and friends they've made at The House.
-
We may assist others in finding/placing older Bouviers. We are not a rescue. We do not board displaced Bouviers. It would not be healthy for our pack to have random exposures to new canines that we do not know well. However, feel free to call us, and give us your name for any future rescues we hear about in our network. We will direct you as we learn of Bouvs needing rehomed and tell you everything we know (or don't know) about the Bouv, but we will not be held responsible for the outcome. Rescues, from any breed, are a gamble. With an unknown Bouvier, the risks can be great and the work to rehabilitate (if at all possible) them can be never-ending.
